State Aid

ABC is West Virginia's best college for studying Bible and Theology. WV residents have the opportunity to receive additional aid when they attend an accredited college in the state.

Pennsylvania and Vermont residents can also participate in their state grant programs.

  • West Virginia Higher Education Grant up to $3,400

    Requirements:
    • Citizen of the United States
    • West Virginia resident for at least 12 months prior to date of application
    • High school graduate or a General Education Development (GED) diploma
    • Demonstrate an established level of financial need
    • Demonstrate academic promise
    • Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student
    • Have not previously earned a bachelor's degree
  • West Virginia "HEAPS" Grant amount varies

    The West Virginia Higher Education Adult Part-Time Student (HEAPS) Grant has the following requirements:

    • Current year FAFSA
    • Demonstrates financial need for funds where need is defined as the Cost of Attendance less the Expected Family Contribution (EFC)
    • West Virginia resident for at least 12 months prior to date of application
    • U.S. citizen or permanent resident thereof
    • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a part-time undergraduate student in West Virginia

    Application for the WV HEAPS Grant is done through the FAFSA. Awards are contingent upon annual funding of the program by the West Virginia State Legislature. More info at: College Foundation of West Virginia

  • West Virginia PROMISE Scholarship up to $5,500

  • Pennsylvania State Grant up to $600

  • Vermont State Grant up to $12,300

    • Grant amounts vary by student and by year, depending on available funding. The amount you receive will depend on your financial need, total cost of attendance at your college of choice, and the timing (applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funding is available.)
